Tineco’s futuristic cleaners are a marriage of art and science

Tineco’s futuristic cleaners are a marriage of art and science

When a device has ‘scientist’ in its name, that’s a sure sign of a brand swinging for the fences. Even though Tineco only recently brought a fresh range of wet-dry vacuums to Australia, it announced an even more advanced suite of appliances at IFA, including one named the “Floor One S9 Scientist”.

There’s a bit of a theme going on here. Tineco impressed us with the Floor One S9 Artist in July. Now, it’s moving from the arts and into the sciences.

As for what makes the Floor One S9 Scientist so scientific? According to Tineco, the appliance’s ability to leave no residue behind is a big factor. Using an aptly named technology called “StreakFree”, the S9 Scientist scrapes water off the surface it’s cleaning, making it immediately dry.

Another reason is its high-pressure water jet, which is used to give stubborn stains a real working over. The fact that it has a display light that looks like giant pixels is a nice touch, too.

But Tineco hasn’t abandoned artistry entirely. Also on the way is the Floor One Station S9 Artist. This one comes with an auto-refill station that tops it up with heated water while cleaning the appliance with steam.

Because things come in threes, Tineco’s other headline IFA announcement was the Pure One A90S. A dry vacuum, the A90S does a lot of smart things with its 270AW of suction power, like detecting different floors, lighting up messes, and getting rid of tangles.

We’ll have to stay tuned for when Tineco brings these new appliances to Australia.
