GadgetGuy’s take – superb value and quality

In 2020 realme had a 65% market share growth, bringing it well into the top 10 global makers at #7. Its BBK siblings OPPO and vivo occupy #5 and #6 spots.

Its youth-focused social media and online marketing are working. It is the trendiest Android brand to own. realme is now places selected models via online retailer channels to maintain its spectacular growth.

One of the things I have been impressed with its focus on quality and reliability. Over 320 stringent tests for the various buttons, USB port, fingerprint reader, and torturous humidity/temperature tests have resulted in one of the industry’s lowest fault rates.

We have not reviewed it yet, but the Dimensity 800 series 7nm SoC is in the OPPO Reno4 Z (8.8/10) and reviews show it as a very powerful chip with minimal throttling. So if you want lower cost 5G and can get a 5G signal (😂) this is it.

On the other hand, if you are part of the 85% that want extreme value the realme 7 Pro (9.8/10) at $469 is amazing with a 64MP quad-camera setup, and 32MP selfie is both the class leader and what I would buy.
