A local release of the latest LG Gram ultralight laptops has been confirmed with six new models launching in Australia.
Ranging from 14 to 17 inches in size, the slim laptops are designed for versatile use, each powered by 12th Gen Intel Core processors, LPDDR5 RAM, and Gen4 NVMe SSD storage. The LG Gram laptops feature a 16:10 aspect ratio and IPS displays with resolutions up to 2,560 x 1,600 depending on the model. Handy for working in various environments, some of the laptops’ displays are now anti-glare, so you can still clearly view the screen in less-than-ideal lighting situations.
One of the notable security features employed by the 2022 range of LG Gram laptops is LG Glance by Mirametrix. Similar to technologies used by several other brands, LG Glance automatically locks the screen if you’re away from the laptop. Another wrinkle to this feature is the ability to alert you and blur the screen if the laptop detects someone looking over your shoulder.
Additionally, if you connect an extra monitor, it can automatically move your mouse cursor to the display you’re looking at. Made with hybrid working in mind, the latest LG Gram range includes face log-in, noise cancelling features, and a Full HD webcam.
At launch, anyone who buys the $3,199 16-inch LG Gram (16799Q-GAA78A), exclusive to the LG website, also gets a 16-inch Gram View+ portable display with USB-C connectivity at no additional cost.

Available to order starting from today, the LG Gram laptops add to the competitive portable laptop market. On paper, they should suit most business uses just fine, although the 16GB RAM cap and integrated graphics across all models might be a limitation for some.
