Samsung Galaxy S23 pre-order deals and plans

Samsung official store: up to $1,074 in added value

A pretty decent Samsung Galaxy S23 pre-order deal comes direct from the brand itself. If you pre-order one of the new devices, you get the next storage model up for no additional cost. For example, instead of buying the 512GB S23 for $1,849, you pay the cost of the 256GB model, which is $1,649. There’s also the option of paying it off in monthly instalments over three years.

Plus, depending on the model you choose, you receive a voucher worth up to $250 to spend on selected accessories in the same transaction. This makes it a tempting offer if you want some earbuds, a watch, or other Samsung goodies to pair with your new phone. Samsung also offers up to $300 of bonus trade-in credit towards a new phone, which stacks on top of a device’s existing trade value, in addition to 50% off a two-year Samsung Care+ subscription, the company’s device swap and refresh program.

Telstra: get a bonus Galaxy Watch5

As part of its Samsung Galaxy S23 pre-order deals, Telstra is throwing in a bonus Galaxy Watch5 valued at up to $649 until 16 February. Other than that, its main deal is offering $15 per month off its Premium Upfront Mobile plan for 12 months, reducing it to $74 per month for 300GB of included data.

Optus: double the phone storage

Optus’ main deals offer a way to pay off a device over three years when bundled with an eligible SIM plan. It’s important to note that the listed price does not include the cost of the plan, as this will differ depending on which plan you opt for. Its cheapest eligible plan starts at $49 per month. Another bonus is that by pre-ordering, you pay the cheaper storage price, so the 256GB model is priced at the 128GB option, and so on.

Device Pre-order Deal
Samsung Galaxy S23 256GB $37.46 per month over 36 months with an eligible SIM plan (total min. cost $1,494.86)
Samsung Galaxy S23+ 512GB $40.24 per month over 36 months with an eligible SIM plan (min. total cost $1,886.84)
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 512GB $45.80 per month over 36 months with an eligible SIM plan (min. total cost $2,280.90)

Vodafone: get up to a $500 Samsung voucher

Vodafone’s big offer is a $500 Samsung voucher when pre-ordering a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra on an eligible plan, and a $300 voucher for the Galaxy S23 and S23+. Here’s what you pay for the devices paired with a 36-month plan, exclusive of the plan cost.

Device Pre-order Deal
Samsung Galaxy S23 128GB $37.47 per month over 36 months with an eligible SIM plan (total min. cost $1,393.92)
Samsung Galaxy S23+ 256GB $45.80 per month over 36 months with an eligible SIM plan (min. total cost $1,693.80)
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 256GB $54.13 per month over 36 months with an eligible SIM plan (min. total cost $1,993.68.)

Woolworths Mobile: existing customers save up to $450

If you want to save on your phone and your groceries, Woolworths Mobile is a viable option. Tapping into Telstra’s network, Woolworths Mobile also gives you 10% off a grocery shop once a month.

For its Samsung Galaxy S23 pre-order deals, Woolworths Mobile’s best offer extends to its existing customers. If you already have a plan, the 128GB Galaxy S23 starts at $60.83 per month for the phone and plan combined. Here’s a breakdown of what’s offered to new and existing customers.

Device Deal (existing customers) Deal (new customers)
Samsung Galaxy S23 128GB $60.83 per month for phone and plan over 36 months (total min. cost $1,465) $65 per month for phone and plan over 36 months
Samsung Galaxy S23+ 256GB $69.83 per month for phone and plan over 36 months (total min. cost $1,789) $74 per month for phone and plan over 36 months
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 256GB $78.83 per month for phone and plan over 36 months (total min. cost $2,113) $83 per month for phone and plan over 36 months

Amazon: double storage and up to $250 credit

Like Samsung and Optus, Amazon offers double the device storage across the Galaxy S23 range. In other words, pay for a cheaper model and get the next storage option at no extra cost. Additionally, Prime members get up to $250 in Amazon credit to spend on future purchases. It’s a strong deal for regular Amazon shoppers looking to nab a phone outright.

Which Samsung Galaxy S23 pre-order deal should you get?

This entirely depends on your individual needs. If you have a previous Samsung device you no longer need and only want to purchase a device outright, going direct through Samsung is good value.

Otherwise, the offers from various retailers and telcos all have their benefits. Whether you want a bonus device, a cheaper plan, or regular discounts on your groceries, there is no shortage of options. What may offer the overall cheapest deal might not have great signal coverage in your area, so it’s worth measuring up multiple factors.
