When the limited edition 30th Anniversary PlayStation gear went on sale in September, stock vanished just as quickly as it appeared. Now, thanks to a local retailer, you might have a chance at grabbing a 30th Anniversary PS5 digital console.
Leading into Christmas, The Gamesmen is hosting a giveaway of the coveted console. For every $100 spent with the store until 24 December 2024, you get three entries towards the giveaway.
Keep in mind that the digital version of the console doesn’t come with a disc drive; it’s only able to play games downloaded from the online PlayStation Store. Unless you can find a disc drive attachment, that is. Considering PS5 disc drives have been widely out of stock for weeks now, you could be waiting a while.
Regardless, valued at just over $700, the 30th Anniversary PS5 digital console is one heck of a prize. Styled like the original grey PlayStation console from 1994, it’s a slick throwback to the classic hardware. Combine that with the limited-time retro start-up screen and you’ll be partying like it’s 1999.
