CONCORD — Someone definitely had a lot more to be thankful for Thanksgiving, as they won more than $175,000 playing the Fantasy 5 state lottery game at a convenience store here, officials said.
The player, who has yet to be identified, picked the five winning numbers — 5, 9, 27, 33 and 37 — on a ticket submitted Thursday night at the 7-Eleven, 1097 Mohr Lane and won $175,079, officials said.
The store could not immediately be reached for comment.
Had someone playing the game in Chula Vista not also picked all five winning numbers, the Concord player would have won $$350,158, as the jackpot rolled over twice from Tuesday.
The winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.
The Fantasy 5 jackpot for Friday night will be at least $78,000, officials said. Fantasy 5 is played seven days a week.
