OAKLAND — A 21-year-old man was shot early Monday morning in East Oakland, authorities said.
He was in stable condition at a hospital with a gunshot wound to his face.
The shooting happened about 1:40 a.m. Monday in the area of 86th Avenue and Holly Street. It was recorded on ShotSpotter technology and shell casings were found at the scene, police said.
Two parked vehicles were also hit by the gunfire but no one else was hurt.
Police said the man was able to get to his home a few blocks away where police were called and the man was taken to a hospital.
Police are investigating a motive for the shooting, but have not ruled out the possibility it was gang related. No arrests have been made.
