Belkin has initiated a voluntary recall of Belkin WIZ003. Its otherwise know as BOOST↑CHARGE Portable Wireless Charger + Stand Special Edition.
The Belkin WIZ003 is both a 10,000mAh portable power bank battery and 10W charging stand. The battery slots into the base and connects via pogo pins. It has the dual charging coils and can wirelessly charge the phone.
A manufacturing defect in the power supply unit can cause the charger to malfunction. It can overheat, posing fire and shock hazards. We repeat the issue is with the wall charger unit.
These were sold via Apple and Belkin and we understand that only about 250 units were sold in Australia.
Affected products have serial numbers: 35B01DO6029400-35B01DO6033704, 35B01DO5010350-35B01DO5014350, 35B01DO6016560-35B01DO6020560, 35B01DO5014500-35B01DO5020003, 35B01DO6010001-35B01DO6010500 and 35B01DO6010501-35B01DO6015500.
