Wet-dry vacuums are the dream appliance on paper. A single appliance that handles both vacuuming and mopping, combining two separate devices into one: that sounds like a winning recipe. We recently put the Roborock F25 Ace, one of the latest wet-dry vacuums, to the test, and it shows how far the technology has come.
The appeal of devices like this is pretty obvious. Instead of doing one lap of your home to clean dust, and then another to mop the floors, you only need to do one loop. It’s an example of technology, like Roborock’s robot vacuums, that has a clear time-saving benefit. Who wants to spend more time cleaning than they have to?
In the body of a stick vacuum, the Roborock F25 Ace has 20,000Pa of suction power for picking up debris, and a spinning mop that operates at 450 RPM. On top of that, the downward pressure applied by the wet-dry vac helps scrub out any stubborn stains stuck to the floor.
Putting Roborock’s new appliance in action, it made light work of keeping things clean. Like a lot of wet-dry vacs, the F25 Ace has a motor-driven system that takes a lot of effort out of pushing and pulling. So, if you’re worried about your ability to move the appliance around, that feature is a massive help.
Other than its cleaning prowess, this wet-dry vac does a lot of the routine maintenance for you. One example is the auto detergent dosing. Plenty of appliances do it these days, but it’s still great not to have to worry about figuring out how much detergent you need.
Then there’s the docking station that charges the F25 Ace and self-cleans the mop. Using a combination of 90-degree Celsius hot water followed by hot air, it keeps the mop fresh and clean, removing any lingering smells.
You can see the Roborock F25 Ace in action via the GadgetGuy YouTube channel and pick one up online for $999.
