It’s not every day you see a half-price phone. Over the next couple of weeks, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is a sizable 50% off, along with a nice deal on its mid-range sibling.
Normally $999, the Edge 50 Pro is as cheap as $498 at Harvey Norman between now and 30 April. At full price, it competes in the same price bracket as the iPhone 16e (which is also on sale), with a few points of difference.
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro boasts the rare ability to charge at 125W speeds, leaving you with little excuse for a drained battery. It also has a triple rear camera array, including a 50MP main sensor, a 10MP 3x optical zoom lens, and a 13MP ultra-wide shooter. That’s a rare combination for any $999 phone, let alone one discounted to less than $500.
At the same time, Motorola has also discounted the Edge 50 Fusion, which we labelled “one of the most well-rounded phones you can get for less than $600.” You can currently save $200 on its retail price, with Officeworks selling the phone for as little as $397.
The Edge 50 Fusion also returned some of the best battery life results from any phone we’ve tested. Its sharp 144Hz pOLED display was also a highlight, even though the edge-to-edge design might take some getting used to.
Together, the phones already represent good value among a highly competitive mid-range Android market. On sale, they’re a couple of bargain buys.
