Styx and REO Speedwagon are joining forces for another tour.
And they’re bringing Loverboy with them.
The three acts have announced dates for their Live and Unzoomed tour, which kicks off in May — and could turn out to be the best classic rock package tour of 2022.
Thankfully, the trek includes a Bay Area date at Shoreline Amphitheatre at Mountain View on July 15.
Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Dec. 10 via livenation.com. There is also a presale for Citi card members that runs 10 a.m. Dec. 7 to 10 p.m. Dec. 9. Visit www.citientertainment.com for details.
“Tommy (Shaw of Styx) and I have done a number of Zoom performances together during the pandemic, and REO and Styx are ready to go get UnZoomed, and out on the road for our fifth U.S. tour together,” says REO Speedwagon vocalist Kevin Cronin. “Add our great friends Mike Reno and the Loverboy guys, and I am totally psyched. If I wasn’t performing in it, I would totally come out to see this show.”
