Belkin SoundForm ClearFit offers affordable open-ear workout buds

Belkin has a new entry in the open-ear sports headphone market, unveiling the SoundForm ClearFit buds along with a big range of audio and phone accessories at IFA 2024 in Berlin.

Coming to Australia by the end of the month for $89.95, the Belkin SoundForm ClearFit are earbuds designed for wearing while exercising. Like the recently launched Shokz OpenRun Pro 2, the open-ear design lets you enjoy your workout tunes and still hear your surroundings.

They come with an IPX5 sweat-resistant rating, so they’re fine for open-air activities but not swimming. On a single charge, the SoundForm ClearFit last up to eight hours, boosted up to a total of 18 hours with the included charging case.

Belkin also revealed its first over-ear headphones with active noise cancellation (ANC), the aptly named SoundForm Isolate. Equipped with Bluetooth 5.4 and Multipoint technology, they support up to 60 hours of battery life between charges. Handily, the SoundForm Isolate also supports a 3.5mm wired connection.

Joining it is the SoundForm Surround headphones, more aimed at professional users who make regular calls. Both the Surround and Isolate are due out in early 2025, so keep an eye out for more details.

Chargers and accessories galore

Belkin’s prolific track record with portable chargers and travel accessories looks set to continue, with the brand lifting the lid on 11 new products at IFA 2024. Wireless chargers, power banks, and tablet keyboards make up the majority of the new range, with most expected to launch in Australia by the end of the year.

Included in the upcoming range are a few Qi2 wireless chargers, letting you top up multiple devices simultaneously, like MagSafe iPhones and the HMD Skyline.

There’s also a range of keyboard cases for the latest iPad Pro and iPad Air range on the way. Considering how expensive Apple’s first-party accessories are, Belkin’s range could be a decent cost-saving alternative.

Much of Belkin’s range is coming to Australia soon, so keep an eye on the brand’s website for more details.
