Lenovo Auto Twist PC tracks your motion to display the best angle

Concept devices are always one of the best parts of any trade show, and Lenovo hasn’t disappointed with its novel Auto Twist AI PC alongside a big range of pro-level devices.

Shown at Lenovo Innovation World 2024 ahead of IFA in Berlin, the Auto Twist AI PC attracted the attention of attendees. As the name suggests, the device features a display that automatically swivels to face you, so you always get the best viewing angle. It uses AI to track your movements, which might come in handy when giving presentations virtually or carrying your laptop with you.

Being a proof of concept, there’s no guarantee the Auto Twist AI PC will see an official release. Still, it’s an indication of the trends tech companies are pursuing. It seems like a useful design if Lenovo figures out how to make it commercially viable.

Laptops for all kinds of professionals

Accompanying the consumer-level laptops aimed at everyday users, Lenovo also revealed a big range of PCs for professional use. Led by the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition, the comprehensive laptop lineup uses the latest Intel, AMD, and Snapdragon processors – all designed to perform at higher levels for longer.

Like with the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition, the ThinkPad comes with a set of features that optimise the PC’s settings based on your needs. That includes automated power modes to prolong battery life, security modes that kick in when using public Wi-Fi, and a focus-enhancing attention mode to block out unwanted distractions.

Taking the form of a 13-inch laptop, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition has an OLED screen, plenty of ports, and a battery life rated up to 18 hours. Built on the Series 2 Intel Core Ultra system-on-a-chip, it’s better with both AI and graphical-intensive tasks.

On the AMD side are the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6, and ThinkBook 16 Gen 7+ laptops. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon X Plus processor drives the ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 (note the “+” omission).

“Our latest AI PC innovations represent a significant leap forward in making technology more personalised, productive and protected for our customers,” said Tom Butler, Executive Director, WW Commercial Portfolio and Product Management, Lenovo Intelligent Devices Group.

“By combining cutting-edge AI technology with more sustainable designs and user-centric features, we are not only aiming to lead the market but to redefine what’s possible in the AI era.”

We don’t yet have confirmed release dates or prices for Lenovo’s new commercial laptops, so keep an eye on its website in the meantime.
