Ecovacs may have just recently launched its premium robot vacuum range, but it’s already got an eye to the future with the Deebot X8 Pro Omni among the devices coming in 2025.
Revealed at IFA 2024, the robotics brand showed off a big range of cleaning gear set to launch over the next year. Ecovacs just launched the Deebot X5 Pro Omni in Australia, which is set to be followed by the X8 model.
Billed as having “world-first” mop cleaning technology, the Deebot X8 Pro Omni has a cleaning roller that applies up to 4,000Pa of pressure while mopping. That’s a decent amount of elbow grease for tackling stains, but the cleaning process is also interesting.
Every revolution the roller makes – 200 revolutions per minute, according to Ecovacs – it cleans the mop. By doing this, it cleans dirt and wastewater out of the mop to avoid dragging unclean water around the floor.
Ecovacs also took IFA as an opportunity to debut its ultra-slim Deebot T50 range. At just 81mm tall, it’s the company’s slimmest robot vacuum to date. At the top of the range, the Deebot T50 Pro Omni vacuums at up to 15,000Pa while upgrading its detangling technology, which is reportedly better at avoiding hair tangles while cleaning.
There’s also a new entrant in the brand’s more affordable N-series on the horizon. Dubbed the Deebot N30 Pro Omni, it includes many of the premium devices’ features like anti-tangling and rotating, mops, in addition to a hot water self-cleaning station. It also uses detergent capsules to assist with floor cleaning.
These devices are still a while away, so Ecovacs hasn’t revealed specific price or release date details yet. Regardless, it’s an interesting glimpse at what’s coming next from the big robotics brand.
