Fetch TV gets DAZN app, makes it easier to watch NFL in Australia

Just in time for the NFL season, local streaming platform Fetch TV now supports the DAZN app, providing another method to watch the popular American sport in Australia.

It’s a nice addition for NFL fans living in Australia. I love a bit of American football, having followed the Philadelphia Eagles since former North Melbourne player Sav Rocca laced up the cleats in the late 2000s.

Thanks to the Fetch TV announcement, I also finally know how to properly pronounce “DAZN”. Apparently, it’s said “Da Zone”. Turns out you do learn something new every day.

DAZN comes to the new Fetch Mini G5 streaming box first, followed by the Mini 4K and Mighty devices soon. That’s likely because the latest device is Fetch’s first to get the new open-source operating system, making it easier for the company to integrate new apps.

In addition to the NFL, DAZN provides access to a range of international sports like MMA, FIBA basketball, and the UEFA Champions League. Pay-per-view events are also available, with several upcoming boxing bouts on the schedule.

Fetch DAZN price in Australia

Depending on what you want to watch, there are multiple subscription options. The DAZN app on Fetch includes some free content, similar to Kayo Freebies, like access to selected matches and highlights from the LALIGA, Serie A, Ligue 1, Saudi Pro League, and UEFA Champions League.

More live sports come with a DAZN subscription, priced at three different tiers. A monthly plan costs $21.99, while committing to 12 months drops the price to $13.99 per month. Meanwhile, a one-off lump sum annual plan costs $139.99.

This doesn’t include NFL access, however. Available as a standalone subscription or an add-on, NFL Game Pass through DAZN costs $28.99 per week in Australia, while a season pass costs $279.99.

Following the update, Fetch now offers 23 streaming apps alongside its existing subscription packages.

Now I’ve got another way to watch my beloved Eagles while I should be working.

Fly, Eagles fly.
