Known for specialising in mobile accessories, Belkin has jumped into the deep end of gaming, releasing a wide range of Nintendo Switch 2 cases, screen protectors, and chargers for the new console.
Although it might be Belkin’s biggest gaming launch, it’s not the brand’s first foray. That honour goes to 2001’s Nostromo, an old-school gaming mouse with a funky-looking keypad.
Belkin’s re-entry into the gaming market is far more conventional by comparison. This time around, it’s focusing on what it’s spent years doing: making gear that protects and charges your devices.

Headlining the range of accessories is a charging case for the Switch 2. Designed to withstand drops and scrapes, the $99.95 case includes a 10,000mAh power bank housed in a dedicated compartment to charge the console when on the move. The power bank outputs 20W, with the 10,000mAh capacity enough to fully charge a Switch 2 one-and-a-half times.
For those who want a slimmer case, Belkin’s $39.95 travel case provides similar protection, albeit without the power bank. It gains the added benefit of a wrist strap for a bit of reassurance for those prone to dropping things.
Both cases come in three colours: Charcoal, Sand and Green. They’re all fairly conservative colours as far as gaming accessories go, but will easily blend in with your daily gear.

Belkin screen protectors for Nintendo Switch 2
As for the screen protectors, Belkin has two variants for the Nintendo Switch 2. One has an anti-reflective coating while the other has a blue light filter. Both are tempered glass and cost $29.95 each in Australia. Belkin also includes an alignment tray to help apply the screen protectors without any annoying bubbles.

During the early days of the original Switch, some users reported an issue where some screen protectors lifted the console’s screen out of place when exposed to heat. When asked how Belkin would avoid similar issues with the Switch 2, a spokesperson referred to the company’s extensive testing, involving thousands of screen protector applications and exposure to various temperatures.
Another factor working in Belkin’s favour is the addition of a protective film included on the Switch 2. Nintendo first added this additional layer to the OLED Switch, bolstering the screen’s structural integrity.

Belkin’s range of Nintendo Switch 2 cases and screen protectors release at the same time as the console, on 5 June. Following the console’s launch, Belkin will add more gaming accessories, including longer USB-C cables, a standalone power bank, and a 65W wall charger with two ports so you can charge a controller and console at the same time.
