Synonymous with printers and projectors, the Epson brand has turned 50, which is a decent innings from any tech company.
Its first printer under the Epson name was the MP-80 in 1975, but another printer came before it. While still known as Shinshu Seiki, the company made the EP-101 in 1968, which was the first compact electronic printer of its kind.
More recently, Epson commemorated its 40th anniversary in Australia last year, with an eye on more sustainable printing practices. Earlier this year, it launched the Epson EH-QL3000, a big, bright $25,000 projector that produces a clear image, even in bright rooms.
