One of Australia’s most popular robot vacuums is zooming back into Aldi’s Special Buys aisle, with the Ecovacs Deebot Neo 2.0 Plus on sale soon.
Set to arrive on 14 June, the $499 device is a rare instance of a robot vacuum that comes with an auto-empty station for less than a thousand bucks. Typically, budget robot cleaners will do your dirty work but then require manual emptying each clean. Not this one, however, which was a big reason behind why I enjoyed using the Deebot Neo 2.0 Plus so much.
The last Aldi Special Buys from Ecovacs only included the robot without the emptying station, so it’s great to see the full combo return. From a technical perspective, the Deebot Neo 2.0 vacuums with 5,000Pa of suction power, nearly double that of its predecessor.
You may not get the high-pressure mopping of the X8 Pro Omni model but it’s tough to find many faults with such an affordable robot vacuum. Helpfully, the auto-empty station that comes with the Deebot Neo 2.0 Plus fits a 5L dust bag, giving you weeks of use before needing to swap out bags.
One important thing to note: Aldi shoppers are a loyal bunch. Previous Ecovacs Special Buys have sold out quickly, so you’ll want to plan ahead if you want this robot vacuum. Aldi has an online listing for the robot, but it’s exclusively sold in stores.
In other words, mark 14 June in your calendars and get ready to brave the crowds.
