Taking its South Korean heritage to a new level, Samsung’s My FanCam feature is one of the more fun additions to the Galaxy Z lineup shipping with the One UI 9 software update.
Inspired by K-pop fandom culture, My FanCam lets you record videos and then choose what to focus on afterwards. For example, if you record a group of people dancing, you can select a person via the Galaxy AI menu, and it will then automatically centre them in the frame, regardless of where they move.
I can also see My FanCam being handy for school concerts or sports, when you want to easily keep your child the centre of attention in videos to send to friends and family. Within the setting, there are options for different aspect ratios, too, automatically reframing the video in 9:16 or any other common orientation you want. You can see my efforts via GadgetGuy‘s YouTube channel — just don’t judge my moves too harshly!
