SANTA CLARA – Here’s who to start and sit when the 49ers (3-4) host the Arizona Cardinals (7-1) on Sunday:
START HIM: RB Elijah Mitchell
The 49ers don’t need Jimmy Garoppolo getting drilled all night by the NFL’s sack-leading defense, and not with a new right tackle. They’ll look again to the rookie legs of Elijah Mitchell, who they deployed last Sunday with sore ribs and all. Mitchell could be their first 1,000-yard rusher in Kyle Shanahan’s five seasons here.
Three other nominees: WR Deebo Samuel, TE George Kittle, K Robbie Gould
SIT HIM: WR Brandon Aiyuk
His weekly improvement surely has him on the Rams’ radar and on more fantasy rosters. Kudos to him if he keeps it up against Jalen Ramsey and Co.
Three other nominees: 49ers defense, RB Jeff Wilson Jr., QB Jimmy Garoppolo
