Ever since Apple moved to its in-house silicon, MacBooks have been hard to beat from a pure power efficiency standpoint. Windows PCs have finally caught up in recent times, with the Asus Zenbook A14 a laptop that can rival a MacBook’s all-day performance.
I reviewed Asus’ sleek 14-inch laptop a little while ago, and really enjoyed the experience. In a welcome change from some Windows PCs, I easily got two days’ worth of use out of the A14 before needing a charger. Part of that efficiency comes from the laptop’s Snapdragon X Elite chipset, while the 70Wh battery certainly helped.
Asus’ eye-catching “Ceraluminum” finish is quite a nice touch, too. A hybrid of ceramic and aluminium materials, it’s tough and looks stylish to boot. The model I tried retails for $2,599, while there are some cheaper Snapdragon X Plus variants to check out as well.
