Just last year, home security brand Arlo reached the three-million subscriber mark for its Arlo Secure service. Now it has more than five million subscribers, a milestone Arlo says reflects its strong customer loyalty.
The security company also claims that, on average, customers stick with its services for more than seven years. That’s an enviable loyalty to have in the fast-moving consumer tech industry. Likely a big subscription driver was the launch of Arlo Secure 5 last year, an update to the subscription platform that added person and vehicle detection to its suite of cameras.
As if five million subscribers weren’t enough to boast about, Arlo reported more than US$275 million of annual recurring revenue. If there was any doubt about the viability of software as a service, Arlo has swiftly put those doubts to bed.
