Dyson’s professional hair dryer gets the home salon treatment

Previously reserved for professional hair stylists, the Dyson Supersonic r hair dryer is now available for everyone to bring the salon treatment home.

Following last year’s excellent Supersonic Nural, Dyson labels the $799 Supersonic r its “most powerful, yet lightest and most precise” hair dryer. In making the transition from salons to homes, the new model is 30% smaller and 20% lighter than its professional-grade version.

It uses Dyson’s “Hyperdymium” motor, which spins at up to 110,000rpm to help dry hair quickly. Available now in Australia via Dyson’s website, the Supersonic r comes in Vinca Blue, Jasper Plum, and Ceramic Pink colours.
