Apple’s iPhone 16 is more than $200 off across several Australian retailers, as each shop attempts to outdo the other with the best deal.
Big W started the bidding war with a $200 discount as part of the retailer’s current catalogue. Since then, Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, and Officeworks have all joined in, selling the iPhone 16 for as little as $1,149.
Apple’s 128GB model usually retails for $1,399, making the current iPhone 16 sale one of the cheapest ways you can grab an unlocked version of the handset. Paired with a cheap SIM plan, you could save a bit of money in the process.
Apple only recently released the iPhone 16e, the company’s cheapest current cheapest handset at $999. But with less than $200 between it and the standard 16 model when on sale, the value proposition starts to look shaky. The original iPhone 16 has a better camera array, while the 16e claims a longer battery life.
Although Big W didn’t discount the iPhone 16 Pro range, that hasn’t stopped others from dropping the price. Officeworks took $270 off the 128GB Pro model, followed by JB Hi-Fi price-matching the deal, bringing the price to $1,529.
Here’s how much you can currently find the 128GB iPhone 16 on sale for:
Similarly, these are the sale prices for the 128GB iPhone 16 Pro:
There are also some nice iPhone 16 Pro Max discounts on offer, starting with a nearly $300 saving for the 256GB model:
It’s not clear how long the current sale lasts, so it’s worth taking a look before it ends. Especially considering it’s one of the better recent iPhone sales.
